The Thai Non-Immigrant B Visa or "Business Visa" allows you to stay in Thailand to seek employment or open a business of your own in the Kingdom.

There are 2 categories in which Australian citizens can enter under this type of visa:

1. 90-Day Non-Immigrant B Visa (Single-Entry)
2. 1-Year Non-Immigrant B Visa (Multiple-Entry)

Non-Immigrant Business Visa (Employment)

If you intend to work in Thailand, then you must first apply for the initial 90-day Non-Immigrant B Visa from your home country under the employment category. Your prospective employer will then sponsor your visa application. Once a valid work permit is obtained, you can apply for the 1-Year Non-Immigrant B Visa extension of stay at a local immigration office.

Non-Immigrant Business Visa (Conducting Business)

In order to enter Thailand to conduct business, you must first be sponsored by a Thai entity in Thailand before you can apply for one of the Non-Immigrant B Visas mentioned above.

Whether you come here to conduct business or for employment, you can enjoy the following benefits with any of the Non-Immigrant B Visas:

• Open a bank (savings) account in Thailand
• Apply for a 1-year extension, if you still meet the requirements

You can apply for either a single-entry or multiple-entry permit for this type of visa. However, if the need to leave the country does arise when you are holding a single-entry visa, you may apply for a re-entry permit at the nearest immigration office or an international airport before leaving the country.

Please note that you will need to report to the Thai Immigration Bureau every 90 days on this visa throughout the year of its validity period. If you leave the country before the 90-day report deadline, the countdown will reset upon entering Thailand.
